Jason Williams enters his sixth season with the Baylor volleyball program. Williams was promoted to associate head coach in March of 2020 after previously serving as an assistant coach for four seasons. He was elevated to full-time assistant in April of 2016 from a volunteer assistant role in 2015.
Williams serves as the team's training coordinator, helping plan and run practices, design match preparation and strategy, as well as working with middles and defense.
Williams was instrumental in helping Baylor reached new heights last season, earning the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament behind three AVCA First Team All-Americans and AVCA National Player of the Year Yossiana Pressley. Williams' defense led the Big 12 in opponent hitting percentage and averaged 2.54 blocks per set in 2019. Kara McGhee earned unanimous All-Big 12 Rookie Team honors out of the middle, and Shelly Stafford became the first Bear to earn four Big 12 postseason honors.
